Hi everyone! Hope you guys are doing well. On 4th November 2015, I was invited to join a trip together with Sony Malaysia team and a handful of Media representatives to Melbourne, Australia to try out the new Sony A7RII, Sony A7SII and Sony RX100IV. The trip was fully planned, organized & executed by Sony Malaysia team itself. The mission is to discover Melbourne’s hidden moments with the new cameras.
During our short 4 days in Melbourne, we stayed at The Crossley Hotel which is located about 1km from the Federation Square. Our journey starts with a quick visit to St Patrick’s Cathedral, Shrine of Remembrance and Docklands, Mornington Peninsular, Aschcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens, Sovereign Hill, Ballarat, Gold Museum & Mine Tour, Ballarat. On our last day, we had a cruise dinner along the famous Yarra River.
It was a simple point and shoot trip, no serious landscape photography involved. I barely get my tripod out for action as most of the time we were shooting handheld. :p
Anyway, I think the objective of this trip is achieved because all the Media representatives seems to be enjoying the new camera. Thank you Sony Malaysia.
Being a landscape photographer, I used to sacrifice my bed time to chase the best light during sunrise. During my Autumn trip to South Island, New Zealand, I woke up at 4 in the morning and drove for about 30 minutes on a very tight and zig-zag road. Waking up at 4 in the morning and then continue driving can make you feel dizzy because your body is restarting. So it still need some time to reboot completely hence the dizziness. But everything was fine, we manage to arrive to the location safely. Arriving to the location, it was dark, gloomy and very foggy.
It’s very frustrating but being a landscape photographer also taught me to be very patience. I waited for almost 2 hours for the fog to clear up but the light was still not that great. And I just continue shooting and enjoying the morning breeze when suddenly a rainbow started to form just below the mountains in the back. I think it was a double-rainbow but only one had a strong glow.
The rainbow lasted for about 15-20 minutes before disappearing and the weather continues to get better. I couldn’t stop myself for a quick self-portrait with the willow trees! 🙂
Everyone seems to have a really good time despite the bad start. Here’s a series of our selfies from that morning.
The weather continues to get better and better. Here’s an image of sun shining through the famous Red hut in Glenorchy.
Check out my final images from this location here —> New-Zealand-Autumn-2015. Hope you guys enjoy reading this behind the scene story. Feel free to share and spread the love!
Until my next post then… 🙂

Our first night freedom camping in New Zealand is by this lakeside, Lake Pukaki. It was the night that all of us were almost frozen to death (not really to death, but it was super freaking cold!). I was wearing 4 layers of cloth including my windbreaker jacket, 3 pairs of socks, a snowcap, pair of glove on the night when I was sleeping but yet I still feel damn cold. I was the earliest one to woke up because I couldn’t stand the cold. But everyone else still sleeping like they never give damn about the cold weather.
It was a great feeling to wake up in the morning and get to see this amazing view. It’s just priceless! 🙂

Assalamualaikum wr wbt and very good morning everyone. Another shot from Lake Tekapo, I told you guys the lake is so beautiful hence so many photo from here. :p I think this is my favourite photo that I captured from New Zealand. I was wondering around on the lake shore by myself because everyone else is busy shooting the church up in the ground. As I was setting my camera, I’ve found this cool rock formation that leads across the lake to the snow-capped mountains. The sunset colours were simply stunning! The pastel look colours from the clear sky makes the picture (I think).  Anyway, hope you guys like it! 🙂

Assalamualaikum wr wbt and good day everyone. My next photo from New Zealand adventure trip is called Starry Night at Church of The Good Shepherd. The place is located at Lake Tekapo itself and it is known as the best place to watch millions on stars in New Zealand and that is so true! We went to New Zealand on Spring which makes it no lupines flower for us, too bad right. But I think that might be the reason why the night we shooting at this place not so many people around. That is the best part!
It was getting cold and colder as the nightfall. But everyone including myself seems not to be bothered by the cold weather because we were so excited to see the milky way with our bare eyes! :p
Lens used: Samyang 14mm f/2.8 (best lens ever for milky way! and it’s cheap 🙂 )

Assalamualaikum wr wbt and very good morning everyone! So my New Zealand photo continues with this sunset view still from Lake Tekapo. It was taken not directly to where the sun setting, but still it produces some pastel looking colors which is amazing for me. This might be because of the super clear sky!
