A simple outing with Keris Tuah at Teluk Bayu, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.

Thank you to bro Keris Tuah, for making every effort to show me few good spots to do landscape activities around Bayan Lepas. Also for the treatment at the Pattani restaurant. I really appreciate your kindness bro 🙂

Details: Digital blending of 3 exposures, one for the sky, one for the rocks and the last one for the blue sky. The reason I take few exposures is, I don’t want the rocks to be in shadow when facing my camera. I only take multiple exposures when I need to.

Low tide Sunset

Just found another great spot for landscape activities back in my hometown..It was located at Kampung Sungai Kuar Jawa, Kedah.

Tech spech: A vertorama of 2 exposures, both shot in Aperture-Priority Mode. One for the sky (1/13s at ƒ/14) and one for the foreground ((0.6s at ƒ/14). Both exposure were manually blended in Photoshop CS3. After that, I do some basic adjustments and little touch-up like increasing levels and saturation, dodging and burning, and few sharpenings to increase the dynamic range.

P/s: Surely that I will be visiting this spot again when the tide is high!

Batu Ferringhi, Penang

This is another version which is taken at the same spot, on the same day..I just love the rocks formation..It makes me feel like I was in Terengganu..I wish I was..

Details: A single RAW shot using Cokin P121s ND Grad. I used Aperture-Priority mode, F16 at 5s ISO100 and Exposure Compensation +2/3 (to brighten up the foreground)

Tech spech: The RAW file processed in DPP for some adjustment and then transfered to Photoshop CS3. In CS3, I do another minor adjustment like increase saturation, adjusting the levels and curves, fews sharpening, some dodging and burning and finally the border and watermark.

Rushing on Batu Ferringhi

It was 6.30PM already and I was rushing to find a good spot alongside Bt. Ferringhi beach to do some seascape shot..I was trying to find a spot that don’t have to much people..It was Christmas holiday, and hundreds of people were at the beach on that time..Finally here’s where I’m ended up..By the time I got to this spot, the light is disappearing very fast..

Details: For this shot, I try to used the rocks on the left side and the right side for my composition to framed the whole shot..As usual, I’m using Aperture-Priority mode, F22 at 20s ISO100 and I used Cokin P121s ND Grad to darken the sky.

Tech spech: A single RAW shot, processed in Digital Photo Professional and Photoshop CS3 for minor adjustments like sharpening, levels and saturation.

Welcome to Jeram..

Well, this is my first time visiting Jeram. A simple and nice outing with Sang Photographer and Shazral. Alhamdulillah, we are so fortunate because the weather turns out nicely..

Tech spec: My first try of vertorama, consist of 2 exposure, one for the upper part (2.5s at f/22) and the other one for the lower part (5s at f/22). Both exposure were manually blended in Photoshop CS3. After that, I do some minor adjustments and little touch-up like increasing levels and saturation, dodging and burning, and few sharpenings.

Eye Catching ROL

I just sitting on my room this evening and then suddenly my eyes catch attention to this amazing rays of light. Quickly I grab my camera and set it up on the tripod and shoot it from my 8th floor. The sad thing is, the ROL disappear really fast..So here’s the only photo I get..

Tech spec: Single RAW shot, processed in DPP, reduce the brightness to bring up the ROL and transfered to Ps to crop and adding watermark.

Twilight Sunset at Masjid Besi, Putrajaya

After the shot from PICC, I decided to go to this beautiful spot of amazing architectural building, the Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque or more popular known as ‘Masjid Besi’.

We were very lucky, as for today the sunset is very beautiful and breathtaking..

SubhanAllah for the amazing sunset today, and thank you Allah, for giving us such a beautiful view to watch..

Details: As for this shot, I used AE (Aperture priority mode) and I take 2 different exposures, one for the sky and the other one for the mosque. Both were taken on the same shutter speed of 30 sec. The aperture value for the sky, is f /22 and the mosque is f /11. For longer shutter speed, I used a cheap china ND8 filters with Cokin P series holder.

Tech spech: Both of the exposure were manually blended in Ps, and after that sharpening has been done to increase the dynamic range of the photo. As usual, the final step is adding the watermark.

Glorious Sunset

It was a beautiful sunset – 28/10/10. SubhanaAllah, how wonderful His creation are. This shot was taken from my rent house balcony around the magic hour. As you can see, there is a ROL came out from the sun. I was stunning by this beautiful moment!

Bukit Bandaraya, Shah Alam

One of my sunset collection on 2010. Actually, this shot was taken from the top of the ‘tangki air‘ (which are not prohibited to enter by anyone, only me :P). Located somewhere around the Bukit Bandaraya. It was a great view from up there, but the sun was too far, and guess what, I’m only using a kitlense. So this is what I get. Please ignore the FG part, I was too lazy to brightened it up :D. Overall I’m not fully satisfied with the result, maybe will go there again after this Raya. Because ‘mau balik kampung laa‘..
