Everything’s Dead
Assalamualaikum and happy Sunday everyone. Here come another shot from Kelanang amazing sunset on few weeks back. This one taken a few minutes after the previous shot. The color becoming more reddish and the dead trees just make it look surreal. It was beautiful and yet so mysterious. One of the best sunset I ever captured here. Syukran jazilan ya Allah. Hope you guys like it, thanks for dropping by and have a great Sunday.

The Guardians
Peace be upon all of you, good evening and salam jumuah mubarokah. Here is my next photo from last weekend amazing sunset at Pantai Kelanang, Banting and its in landscape mode which mean wider view! Oh yes, another big fallen dead trees as the foreground interest, because I try to make it different. Before this, I always wanted a clean and neat compo for my shot, but that day I just decided to try something new and here’s the result!
I was lucky to get the right timing of the tide. It was rising but not that fast and thanks to Lee filter Pro Glass ND 3 stop, I was able to get the smoothness in the water part. The beautiful sunset colors was starting to appear at this time and it was really magical! I was like keep on saying alhamdulillah, thank you Allah for giving me this magnificent sunset on that evening, syukur!
Some info about the photo, a single RAW shot taken with Singh-Ray 3 stop reverse grad and lee 3 stop pro glass nd. Shot was processed in Canon Digital Professional for the raw file, then the file transferred into photoshop. In photoshop I increase the brightness on the tree part, because it was a bit dark on the original file. Other than that, basic enhancement as always to make the picture look more alive.
I hope you guys like this shot as much as I do! Feel free to hit the share button

Boom!
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone. Last Sunday went to Pantai Kelanang again for sunset hunting with my usual partner in crime, Shazral. The weather has been great since morning and that tells me it going to be a great sunset. Guess what, my instinct is right! It’s was totally a ‘boom’ sunset! The amazing colors come out right after the sun has fully set. Alhamdulillah, finally I managed to get a beautiful sunset shot at Pantai Kelanang. Thank you Allah for blessing us with this magnificent sunset!
This is a single shot taken with Singh-Ray 3 stop reverse graduated neutral density filter along with Lee 3 stop pro glass neutral density filter.

Broken Jetty Sunset
Assalamualaikum, good evening everyone. It’s raining season now, can’t do much of a shooting outside. Hence, the shots I will upload after this will be from my archives.
Ok, one of them is this sunset at broken jetty which was taken back in May this year. It was on a simple outing with my usual ‘partner in crime’, Shazral. We decided to go to Pasir Panjang which is our nearest favorite spot to do seascapes and sunset shooting. But once we arrived, the tide was quite high so we cannot go down there. So that is why we ended up at this famous broken jetty. Still, it was a lovely evening.
About the shot, as always it was created from single RAW file and I do few minor adjustment on DPP. Then the file was transferred to Photoshop for some enhancement like increasing the brightness and contrast, adjusting the levels, curves and also some saturation to give it more saturated and vibrant colors. Sharpening done using the ‘high pass’ and finally I add the watermark to prevent it from be steal. :p
That’s it my share for now. Hope you guys like it and feel free to hit share! Wishing you all a great weekend ahead

Life in Motion
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone. Here’s another slow shutter shot from Teluk Lipat, Dungun. As I mention in my previous post I had a great time playing with the waves here! This place is fantastic! It was a simple outing with Doc Yusri and Fahmi, they are my friends from Facebook. I have met a lot of friend with same passion and hobby in the social networking site.
About this shot, as always it was created from single Raw shot on my camera. I use a 3 stops graduated neutral density filter along with 3 stop full neutral density filter for this shot. The GND is to balance the brightness in the sky part with the foreground and the full ND is to allow me to use the right shutter speed to get the motion of the waves.
On the processing part, I cleaned the Raw shot in Digital Photo Professional, and then the shot was transferred into Photoshop. In Ps, I did minor of basics adjustment like adjusting the brightness/contrast, increasing the saturation in certain part and I use dodging tools to increased the whiteness of the waves. Of course I did some high-pass sharpening.
I think that’s about it for now. Hope you guys like my sharing. I wish everyone have a great weekend!

A Dreamy Evening
Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone! I just got back from Melaka, attending a friend’s wedding ceremony there. After that we head to Born Amin house to take a rest for a while because it’s still early to go for sunset shooting. At 4.30pm we headed to Tanjung Bidara beach, a great spot for seascapes and sunset photography. But to get to the rocky areas need to walk about 10 minutes to get there. Then we were joined by Kamrul Arifin Mansor aka KAM the Chip and another friend, Azri Laden.
Okay about the image, I shot it with Singh Ray 3 Stops Reverse GND and Lee Big Stopper. This is my first time using the Reverse Grad, thanks to Born Amin for letting me try it on that evening. It was awesome! I gotta get one for myself!
It was a smile at first because of the great location and the sunset was started showing the colors. But at the end, it turns into a tragedy. I have lost my Lee 3 Stops GND there. It slips out of the holder and fall between the rocks into the sea. I try to find it back but the water level is quite deep. I never found it back. RM380 ringgit burns that evening.
Nevertheless, it was a great evening. We had so much fun shooting there. One advice from me, watch out your gears and equipment guys while shooting to prevent unwanted things like this to happen.

. . O u t c a s t . .
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! It’s not very often I posted a black and white photos, so here’s one for today. A simple tip, minimalist perspective works great in black & white shots and a combination with long exposures will make the shot a real winner!
Enough with talking, here’s the photo. Hope you guys like it, feel free to share! See it on FLICKR!

Earth Meets Ocean
Hey guys! This is my first sunset shot from the short visit to Terengganu last weekend. Finally I was able to catch stone with moss! It was the right timing, the tide was pretty nice and the waves are swirling around those rocks. There were some colors, I boost it up in photoshop to gives a dramatic look. Hope you guys like it! Have a great weekend everyone

The Trails
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! Another recent shot from Port Dickson on a simple outing with my Flickr friends. Like I said in my previous post here, even though the sun setting not right in front of this spot, we still got a bit of the colors! I had a great time playing with the waves on that evening! So here’s another result.
This place have a lot of potential for seascape shooting, maybe will pay another visit on low tide after this.
I did some cloning on the right side of the image to get rid a bunch of trees that fall under the frame. It was a very tight spot with lot of trees hanging around all over the place!

The Dancing Waves
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! Here’s my recent shot from Port Dickson on a simple outing with Flickr friends. But too bad that on this spot the sun was setting a bit right to it. Nevertheless, we still got the reflected colors. It was a high tide, I had great time playing with slow shutter and jumping waves! Of course me and my camera are all wet! Maybe I have to upgrade to a weather seal camera and lenses.
This is a single RAW shot taken with 3 stop GND and 3 stop full ND.
