In December 2021, I revisited this sunset spot after almost 10 years. I was shooting with Sony A7RIV and Sony 14mm F/1.8 Gmaster lens with NiSi S6 Filter Kit.

Assalamualaikum and very good morning everyone! Yesterday while I was on my way back to my hometown Kedah, I drop by at Penang to hunt for some sunset at Teluk Bayu. Last time I was here is in February 2011, it’s like 2 years back and this is my second time here thanks to Bangpit a.k.a Raytec Crew for taking me to this place. I wouldn’t be here if I was alone because I couldn’t remember the route! šĀ Also met some new friends there because they were also shooting the sunset at the same spot.
The magic colors did not appear yesterday because the sun was hidden behind the thick clouds as it reach the horizon. Only some of it’s yellow-orange colors and thanks to Singh-Ray reverse grad, it add some spice to the shot because of it’s cast. But one thing I was lucky because the tide is rising and I manage to catch some of the waves motion by using the 3 Stop Lee Pro Glass ND.
Hope you guys like the shot, happy holiday!

Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! š Another upload from my archives. This shot was taken on May last year in Penang, Malaysia. It was a simple outing with Keris Tuah.
Although at first arriving to the location the weather kinda cloudy and gloomy, but after hours of waiting this amazing colors come out. As I remember at that time, both of us were stunned by this beauty of Allah’s creation! I enjoyed the view so much on that evening! š

Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone! First of all I want to wish Happy Chinese New Year & Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my chinese friends and readers! Have a great new year guys!
Okay about the shot it was taken on a simple outing with Keris Tuah, back in May last year in Penang. I forgotten this place name, but I remember it was somewhere near Jelutong Bandar Baru (correct me if I’m wrong). As you can see, it was a glorious morning with this very beautiful sunrise colors. Plus it was even perfect with the shoreline being so still and creates a very serene reflection.
It was really worth it, waking up so early in the morning just to captured and enjoyed this breathtaking view.

Another photo from Pantai Robina, Penang which taken a bit later on the same day. I found a nice texture of sand forming into some kind of shape on the foreground, which is the main part of composition in this photo. Subhana’Allah, Thank you Ų§ŁŁŁā for giving me another opportunity to see this amazing moment.
It was a satisfaction for me, when getting a shot like this and I manage to enjoy the beautiful view for a while.
This photo was taken last weekend at Pantai Robina, Penang from a simple outing with Keris Tuah. We arrived at the location about an hour before sunset, everything seems to look quite dull at that time, because of the harsh light.
After about an hour and half, everything changes again. The beautiful colors start to come out. Subhana’Allah, at that time I was really amazed with the beautif
My third and maybe the last photo, from Art of Nature – Teluk Bahang, Penang. This photo was taken around 19.45 – Everyone was packing to go home at that time, but not me. I was still taking photos. š
Details & PP: This is a single RAW file which at first I took in monochrome style on my camera. Then I change the picture style back to ‘Landscape’ in DPP and the file was transfer into photoshop. First, I did some basic adjustments like adjusting the levels, brightness/contrast, increasing saturations to get the perfect tones and then I mask it on certain part. After that, I use a lot of clone tool and clone on the sand part due to uneven surface and some footprints. Lastly, some final enhancement have been done like sharpening the image, reducing noise levels and also adding the watermark.
My second photo from Art of Nature outing session, at Teluk Bahang, Penang. Trying to catch some waves motion here, but the tidal was decreasing. So here’s the little waves that I manage to capture.
This is my recent work from an outing with a group call Art of Nature at Teluk Bahang, Penang.
At the time we arrive to the location, not much colors on the sky, almost colorless, then I decide to go for a monochrome shot on camera and longer exposure to create dramatic photo.
It was a good outing session and it is nice to meet new friends, which some I already know from Facebook, but never met on the real world. Unfortunately for all of us, the magic hours didn’t come out on that day.
This is the second shot from my last outing session at Teluk Bayu, Penang. The photo was taken a bit later on that day. I only manage to get few shots here because the light are disappearing really fast. Surely will go there again in future.
Anyway it’s been a while since this outing. I am now ‘craving’ for seascape action, sea spray and big waves! Hopefully can catch a good ones on this weekend! (Yeah, I know it’s 3 more days till weekend ; LOL)
