The Rushing Beauty
Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone. It’s been almost three weeks since my last upload. Trying to have a break for a while.
This is an old shot from my archives, which was taken back on October 2011 at Pantai Remis. If I was not mistaken, it was my second outing with Fakhrul Tahfiz. As you can see, the tide was pretty high which make it very exciting to play with slow shutter speed. So here’s what I’ve got. I just love the rushing waves. Oh and of course, I’m all wet for this shot.

Broken Pier Sunset II
Hey guys! This shot was taken earlier on this month at Pantai Remis, Kuala Selangor. It was a simple outing with my fellow landscape photographer friend, Tahfiz. We were there at the right time because the tide was pretty high. It was really fun playing with slow shutter and long exposure on that evening. The sunset also was not too bad, it add some colors to my shot.
Technical Spec: For this shot I used two ND Grad filter to darken the sky, .6 & .9s. I also use a Circular Polarizer to saturated the colors a bit. Then I processed the Raw file in Digital Photo Professional. The Raw file then transferred to Photoshop for basic adjustments like adjusting the brightness, contrast, levels and some cloning for the dust spot area. Then the photo were sharpen for few times at certain parts. Then I do some lens correction for the distortion on the horizontal line and that’s about it.
Hope you guys like it and have a great weekend yeah!
Lost In The Haze
Hello everyone .. As we all know the weather in KL on this few weeks are very bad .. Fully covered with hazy which will do no good if hunting for sunrise or sunset ..
Last week I go to Pantai Remis beach with my girlfriend to try my luck for some seascape and sunset shots.. But luck isn’t at my side because the sun is playing hide and seek behind the clouds .. Although the weather was very bad, luckily the tide was high on that evening .. So what I did is I play with long exposure shots in monochrome .. That is the only way I know to escape this hazy condition .. So here’s one of the picture that I manage to capture on that day .. I use the Hitech Pro Stop 10 ND filter for longer exposure time to blur out the water ..
After finish shooting, we went for ikan bakar at Medan Ikan Bakar Jeram .. The ikan bakar there was very delicious ..

Skel og Rokk
Hey guys! Another picture from Jeram, but this time no more jumping waves because the tide is decreasing as the nightfall. According to the exif data, this shot was taken at 20.05. Isn’t it awesome, the light is still amazing at that time!
The title Skel og Rokk is from Icelandic word which means Shell and Rock. Actually I was dreaming about Iceland when posting this picture, so I decide to give it a title in Icelandic.
Back to the shot, I used a slow shutter speed to catch some of the wave motion passing through both the rock and the shell. But the waves just passing through the rock. Nevertheless, I think it still look cool.
I guess Jeram series have come to the end for now. Hope everyone enjoy the series!

Encountering Jeram
Hey guys! Here’s my closest encounter with Jeram spray on that day taken on different angle. Yes, I do got wet a little by this waves. Luckily my so-not-weather-seal lens was covered by 4×6 nd grad filter. I guess nd grad not just for balancing the sky, also it can protect your lens from salt spray!
As for this shot, I use the same technique like the previous post, which is Digital Blending. Two exposures shot, one for the sky and one for the waves. Both were manually blended in Photoshop.
Hope you guys enjoy the picture!
Wonders of Jeram, MY
Another old stock photo from my last outing with Sang Photographer and Shazral at Jeram.
ISO 200 | ƒ3.5 | 0.8 Secs | Cokin ND Grad
Welcome to Jeram..
Well, this is my first time visiting Jeram. A simple and nice outing with Sang Photographer and Shazral. Alhamdulillah, we are so fortunate because the weather turns out nicely..
Tech spec: My first try of vertorama, consist of 2 exposure, one for the upper part (2.5s at f/22) and the other one for the lower part (5s at f/22). Both exposure were manually blended in Photoshop CS3. After that, I do some minor adjustments and little touch-up like increasing levels and saturation, dodging and burning, and few sharpenings.
P/s: Thanks to SP for inviting me to tag along and thanks to bro Shazral for giving a ride.
Ghost me!
121 secs
Another shot of Pantai Remis taken yesterday..Almost colorless..
The ‘ghost’ that you see in the picture, actually that is me. Just trying to include myself in the picture.
The weather is so unpredictable these days..By the time we arrive to the spot, the light just seem to be very exciting. But then, it turn slowly into cloudy..and then rain starts to fall down to earth..
Surely will be back to this spot when the weather is nice..InsyaAllah..
