Langkawi Cable Car – Enjoying sunset from 2,339 feet above sea level

Enjoying beautiful sunset from 2,339 ft above sea level at the top station of Langkawi Cable Car. It was cool breezes up here about 5 degrees (+/-) cooler than lowlands. I’m freezing my ass for almost 2 hours just for the sunset and its all worth it! One tip from me, do bring sweater or wear long sleeves if you going up there on the evening until sunset. It can get pretty cold when the wind strucks!

Dead Tree Lake Reflection

Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! Today went out for an outing with superfriends at Kuala Kubu Bharu, Rawang, Selangor. It started out with sunrise shooting at famous Darul Quran mosque and Huffaz Lake, thanks to Ustaz AnNamir for welcoming us there again. We meet again in future, insya’Allah!

After sunrise session at DQ mosque, we go for slow shutter photography at Sungai Chilling for about 2 hours. On the way back to KL, we stopped by at this awesome lake with green trees and mountains on the back of it. Too bad the lake water is rippling, therefore I cannot get a perfect reflection in it. Still, looking good for me! Hope you guys like it!

Tranquil Morning at Masjid Likas | Salam Ma’al Hijrah 1434

Assalamualaikum and good day everyone. First of all, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my muslim Brothers and Sisters, Salam Ma’al Hijrah 1434. May this year brings us more barakah and rahmat from Allah Subhanawataala and benefit from the knowledge Allah has bestowed upon us. Amin ya rabbal alamin. .

The meaning of Maal Hijrah in English is migration. On this day, Muslim remember Prophet Muhammad S.A.W migrate from Mecca to Madinah on the year 622 A.D. Besides, Maal Hijrah also mean changes from bad to good and a starting point to evaluate inner-self on self achievement.

May Allah make it a year of Taqwa and Iman for all muslims Insya’Allah. 🙂

About the shot: A tranquil sunrise at Masjid Likas, Kota Kinabalu Sabah. It was a wonderful morning, the sun rises with beautiful yellow-orange colors. I took this shot using the 2 stop graduated neutral density filter along with circular polarizer. Masking approach is use to recover highlights of the mosque because with the right exposure in the sky, the mosque is under-exposed by few stops.

Exquisite Sunset at The Restaurant

Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! Hope you guys had a great day today and I’m wishing to all muslims early Salam Jumaat. Just came back from holiday in my hometown Kedah, I had great time there shooting with friends.

Ok enough about that, so this is the photo I was so excited to upload. It was taken a few days before Aidiladha, I asked my fellow ‘partner in crime’, Shazral to go for a sunset shooting somewhere near Shah Alam because both of us worked around there. A day before that we also went for sunset shooting in Pantai Remis, but no luck because the sunset is hiding behind thick clouds and that’s why I asked Shazral for repeat. This spot crossed on my mind because I’ve seen Vedd Edd photo from this place and it was amazing.

About the shot, it was taken with Daryl Benson Reverse Neutral Density Graduated Filter 3 stops along with Lee 105mm Circular Polarizer. I took 3 different exposures, one for the sky, one for the restaurant and the last one is for the reflection. All 3 exposures were manually blended in photoshop. No HDR involved and this is the result! 🙂

Reddish Sunrise

Hello readers! This is a sunrise shot was taken at Tasik Darulaman, Jitra, Kedah. I was alone, waking up at dawn start my car and went straight to this lake. It was pretty scary at first because it was still dark. But a few minutes after I arrived, there was people starting to come into the park for jogging. I prepared my gear because the colors started to come out and it was pretty exciting.

Kedamaian River II

Assalamualaikum and selamat malam semua! We met again at the second version of Kedamaian River, Kota Belud, Sabah. The first version is in color which was in color, you can click here to see it. For this second version I converted it into black and white because it looks more dramatic! Hope you guys like it and feel free to like this post or share it! 🙂 I miss this river so much! Patience vs Faith

Bismillah..Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone! An advance shot of ‘Salam Jumaat’ from me. 😀 This shot is taken on sunrise at Likas mosque in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

It was a lovely morning, this shot was taken on our first day in Sabah. This mosque is amazingly beautiful with the lake around it and it gave a nice reflection when the water’s not moving.

Mt. Kinabalu from Below

Bismillah..Assalamualaikum and good evening everyone! Here’s the next photo from my recent Sabah Photo Tour. This shot was taken in early morning, when the fog cleared up the sky from blocking the view of the Kinabalu mountain. So as you can see here, even the mountain is far away at the top it still can be viewed clearly from down here. The sky were so blue and I’m not even using my circular polarizer at this time!

SubhanAllah, it was really a beautiful view. Hopefully one day, I can take photos from up there 🙂
